About Us

“At a young age winning is not the most important thing…the important thing is to develop creative and skilled players with good confidence.”

 -Arsene Wegner

Melbourne Archers Netball Club (nee Moreland) was founded for the 2020 season at Parkville Netball Competitions. The club was formed to give players the opportunity to play in a fun and competitive environment whilst focusing on developing strong and independent individuals.

In 2022 Moreland City Council changed their name to Merri-Bek due to unsavoury connotations with the name Moreland. Due to our personal beliefs and values of the club we changed our name for 2023. After much deliberation we decided to change our name to Melbourne Archers. We believe this exemplifies the multitude of suburbs from which our player bases comes from.

ALL PLAYERS ACCEPTED! Net Set Go, u15, u17 and Open. If you’re interested send us an email with your Name, Date of Birth and your Playing Experience.
